Throughout the 2020 Richmond Rising: Comprehensive Parks Master Plan planning process the project team will work diligently to understand the wants of residents within the community in order to better meet their needs. In addition to the informal local events, the project team will host two community open houses- We hope to see you there!

Perceptions & needs public works shop

A critical component of the Comprehensive Parks Master Plan process is to engage Richmond residents. On Wednesday March 11th the first of three public meetings was held at Lingle Hall (lower level of Reid Hospital) from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. The meeting included a variety of hands on activities covering existing conditions of the community and future aspirations for park facilities and program development.

PERCEPTION AND NEEDS SURVEY

As a supplement to our March 11th Community Open House we invited the community to participate in an online survey. In total 1,743 individuals took the survey.

COMMUNITY PRIORITIES SURVEY

This community input survey provided the project team with more detailed information related to prioritizing future improvements in the City’s park system.  In total 1.025 individuals took the survey.
